Workshop on the economics of Libyan oil raw materials

On the initiative of the Libyan Petroleum Institute and with the approval of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, a workshop was held at the headquarters of the NOC in Tripoli. Also in attendance was the Manager of the Production Department, Anwar Aqil, the Manager of the Oil Marketing Department for crude and gas, Naima Sawan, and the Acting Manager of the Reserve development department, Ahmed Al-Wafati, along with inspection and measurement specialists from the NOC.
Those representing the Libyan Petroleum Institute included the designated head of the management committee, Kamal Al-Muntaser and a number of production and operations managers of oil companies, in addition to a group of engineers and specialists from various technical departments of the NOC and the Institute Libyan Oil Institute and oil operating companies.
 
During the workshop, there was a presentation made by the specialists at the Libyan Petroleum Institute which discussed their proposal to improve economic returns of Libyan raw materials and their possible impact on improving the specifications of newly developed raw materials to merge them and obtain modern ores with technical specifications and high economic feasibility.
 
Two models were presented as an example of mixing samples of raw materials, such as Amna and Sirtica, as well as Amna, Abutufil and Zueitina raw materials due to the convergence of the fields and the main shipping lines for these raw materials and their export ports, where the results of mixing samples of these raw materials were shown to have an improvement in the technical specifications of the new materials.
 
At the end of the workshop, the participants stressed the need to take all the technical observations raised during the workshop, especially the observations of the Production Department, the Crude Oil Marketing Department, and the General Department of Inspection and Measurement, stressing the need for the continued participation of all companies and technical departments of the companies for the success of this project.
 
Attendees suggested forming a specialized technical team to set all conditions and specifications.
