The National Oil Corporation welcomes the statement issued by the US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) welcomes the statement issued by the US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Mr. Richard Norland, in which he stressed the importance of maintaining the National Oil Corporation united, technocratic and independent.
This statement comes within a series of local and international support that NOC receives due to its great success in managing the oil sector and the continuation of its operations for the benefit of all Libyans; despite all the problems that Libya has experienced during the past years, the incursion of some armed groups into the sector and their continuous attempts to penetrate and control the sector and use it illegally.
On this occasion, NOC affirms that it will not hesitate to use its legal right to defend its workers and maintain the continuity of its operations, and it will work with all its partners in the national interest in order to punish anyone who attacks this sector or tries to undermine it for the benefit of their narrow personal interests.
