The National Oil Corporation welcomes the conclusions of the second Berlin Conference on Libya and its affirmation of the NOC’s independence and integrity

The National Oil Corporation welcomes the conclusions of the second Berlin Conference on Libya, which urged, in conclusion 14, all actors to restore and respect the integrity and unity of Libyan State institutions, in particular the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation, and stressed, in conclusion 45,  the independence and impartiality of the National Oil Corporation and that it is Libya’s sole legitimate oil company, in line with UNSC Resolutions 2259 (2015), 2441 (2018) and 2571 (2021).

The Conference appreciates the Corporation’s commitment to improving its transparency through the monthly disclosure of oil revenues, which it has adopted since January 2018, calling on all parties to protect the integrity of the Corporation and preserve its apolitical technical nature.

While the National Oil Corporation highly appreciates the international community’s recognition of its neutrality mandate and the strengthening of its independence for the benefit of all, it announces that it has been taking serious and tangible steps, in cooperation with the US Department of Energy, to enhance transparency in all stages of its activities and fields of work. This cooperation paves the way for reviewing Governance within the corporation and its companies, with the aim of enhancing strengths, identifying ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and applying appropriate work procedures and technology solutions that support the performance of the corporation and its companies. All of this will be done in line with the best practices applied in the global oil industry, hence enhancing the complete tranquility of all Libyan people, as well as the government and decision-making institutions in the country.

May Allah protect us and our Country Libya
