The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announces the appointment and inclusion of all employees of the parallel corporation and the end of the division forever

In implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Prime Minister and in order to achieve one of the most important objectives of the Government of the National Unity aimed at unifying institutions, integrating and placing its members in the legitimate institutions of the Libyan state, and based on what was agreed upon between the Chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation.
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) informs about the issuance of the Decision of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation No. (763) of 2021 dated September 4, 2021 to merge and appoint the gentlemen affiliated with the parallel National Oil Corporation (formerly) in the National Oil Corporation and its subsidiaries according to the sector’s need for the functional specializations of those concerned.
Mr. Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, commented on this Decision, saying, “The Government of National Unity, since its approval, has been keen on unifying all the economic institutions of the Libyan state and has given this issue special attention. It took some time to work on this goal and today we are ending the era of division in the oil sector forever, and we issue a decision appointing, integrating and merging all those affiliated to the (formerly) parallel corporation.
He continued, “The National Oil Corporation has maintained its unity during years of division and has acted impartially for the benefit of the Libyan state, and it has been an example to be emulated internally and externally due to its great role in Libya’s unity and the safety of its economy from collapse. We hope that everyone realizes the importance of this sector and will continue to work professionally, as usual, away from polemics that will only harm the country.
He elaborated by saying “The oil sector represents a top priority in the concerns of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government due to the sensitivity of this vital sector and its great role in preserving Libya’s economy from collapse. Therefore; there is complete agreement between His Excellency and the National Oil Corporation that requires preserving the unity of the sector, keeping it away from disputes and pouring all our interest into attracting investment, increasing production and achieving huge returns to the Libyan state treasury to strengthen the national economy.”
