NOC chairman discusses field development plans with DeGolyer and MacNaughton

As part of National Oil Corporation (NOC)’s 2019-2024 plans to increase production and develop its oil fields, NOC chairman, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, met in Madrid on Monday, November 25, 2019 with Mr John W. Wallace, chairman and CEO of DeGolyer & MacNaughton, a company specialized in reservoir engineering studies. 
 
During the meeting, NOC and DeGolyer & MacNaughton discussed the progress of joint cooperation and the arrangement to undertake some reservoir engineering studies for oil and gas fields, in line with the latest technologies and methods. Particular attention was paid to improving recovery factor (RF) at NOC fields through efficient reservoir management, and the two sides discussed building the technical capacity of reservoir engineers at NOC and its subsidiaries. 
 
The meeting was also attended by Eng. Abulgasem Shengheer, NOC board member for exploration and production, and Mr. John Hornbrook, D&M’s manager of the Reservoir Studies Division.
