The National Oil Corporation commends the procedures taken by the Attorney General concerning the encroachment on the coastal gas pipeline.
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) received a copy of the letter directed by the Counselor Al-Siddiq Ahmed Al-Sour the Attorney General, to each of the Manager of the Law Enforcement Department and the Head of the Petroleum Facilities Guard dated on the 6th of Rajab, 1443 – February 7, 2022. Regarding the infringements on the coastal gas pipeline network and his demanding to remove those violations., Which consists of buildings, installations and any activity within the scope of the 50-meter gas line on each side.
Meanwhile, the NOC appreciates this measure, which will help mitigate the risk posed by these violations and attacks on the gas pipeline and the citizens, which pose a threat to gas operations, which are the main nourishing artery of elecricity, desalination, and a number of industrial plants.
Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company had filed a complaint with the Attorney General about the attacks on its line، for the damage and seriousness it may cause to the line and residents within its range.
