An Important Statement

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) is following with great concern the delay of the Government of National Unity in implementing the decision 642 of 2013, which judge to increase the basic salaries of the employees in the oil sector by 67% despite correspondence and repeated appeals by the National Oil Corporation that this decision should be put into effect, considering that this decision is among the oldest decisions to increase salaries and many of the decisions issued years later were implemented, on the other hand decision to increase the salaries of the oil sector has been ignored until this moment.
While we see that the Government adopted the increasing the salaries of some other sectors, we demand the need for attention to the workers in this vital and the semi-sole financier of the General Treasury. and activating the decision that was issued more than eight years ago, to increase their salary, to create justice among public sector employees in the state.

Oil workers are working in difficult conditions away from their families and in a dangerous environment surrounded by high pressures, noise and sometimes bad smells, which make increasing their salaries, improving their services and distinguishing them from all other sectors is necessary in order to motivate them and push them to make efforts to increase production and achieve the highest revenues to support the national economy.

Otherwise, the current reality and disregard for this sector will inevitably lead to a major disaster, namely the migration of technical staff that is rich in the sector and whose trained and rehabilitated by the NOC and its companies have been training and rehabilitating them for many years, where nothing motivates them and pushes them to work in remote desert and dangerous marine sites as long as they can work in another sector with higher salaries and more advantages.
